This is a film in which Michelle only has a small role which she did for free because the director was a friend of hers.  Though she is mentioned in the credits, she insisted that she not be used to promote the film as she believed it was good enough to stand on it’s own merits…and I agree.  Michelle virtually steals the show in the latter half of the movie as “Sis”, Leslie Cheung’s cop’s ex wife’s sister, but Cheung and the Japanese actress who starred opposite him were excellent.  Very moving film, great cast, beautiful story.  You don’t have to be a Michelle fan to appreciate it.
